Mattarella, Giorgetti, Valditara, De Gennaro at the event sponsored by the Edufin Committee, GdF and MEF
On 28 November, at the Hall of Honor of the “Sante Laria” Barracks in Rome, “The Financial Legality Day” is being celebrated, promoted by the Edufin Committee, in concert with the Italian Finance Police and the Ministry of Education and Merit and sponsored by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The event will be attended by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, the Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti, the Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara, and the Commander General of the Italian Finance Police Andrea De Gennaro.
The Director of the Edufin Committee, Donato Masciandaro, will give a report on the importance of the link between financial education and the protection of legality, on which it is essential to raise awareness among the younger generations, citizens of tomorrow, so that they can actively do their part. “We have decided to schedule this important event as part of the Edufin Month so that young people, stakeholders in the digital reality, while also being aware of the risks that economic and financial choices entail, can serve as a defence of their integrity, their families and the country as a whole,” says Masciandaro.
The protagonists of the day will be the students of some Roman schools. All will participate in an experience of reflection and in-depth study on the culture of financial legality, as an element of development and social growth.
During the event, the project “Living with legality” will be presented as an example of the active role of our “best youth”, conceived and produced by the students of the Giuseppe Peano Scientific-Linguistic high school in Rome, to stress the importance of compliance with tax rules and the sense of civil and social responsibility linked to the exercise of active citizenship.
