Press Release of 6 July 2021

Financial Education Month 2021 - Take care of your future

Applications are open for organising conferences, webinars, cultural initiatives, information seminars, shows, days of games and training on financial education that will take place throughout Italy next October

October is Financial Education Month! We are at the fourth edition and the Committee on the Planning and Coordination of Financial Education Activities will be present throughout Italy with a series of initiatives aimed at promoting the development of financial, insurance and social security culture. The theme of the Month of October 2021 will be “Take care of your future”, to highlight the strong link between what we sow today and what we will reap tomorrow. If we increase our basic knowledge of financial, insurance and social security issues, it becomes easier to take care of our finances, make informed choices to face our future in a serene way, learn to manage any unforeseen events and achieve greater financial well-being.

The initiatives of the Month will be held from 1 to 31 October 2021, they will be both online and in person and in various forms: conferences, webinars, cultural initiatives, seminars, shows, days of games and training addressed to adults, teenagers and children.

Last year, the Month, focused on the theme of financial choices at the time of COVID-19, closed with a very positive balance: there were more than 600 events organised throughout Italy and they were met with broad participation, thanks also to the use of digital tools. These results bode well for strong participation once again this year.

The Committee invites associations, institutions, companies, universities and research centres, schools, foundations, public administrations and any organisation that wants to engage in the field of financial education with quality events to submit their candidacy by 24 September through the appropriate online form on the Committee's portal www.quellocheconta.gov.it.

All initiatives that comply with the requirements set by the Guidelines available on the Committee’s portal will be welcomed. Participation allows one to use the Month’s logo and to benefit from the numerous promotion activities at national and local level, designed by the Committee so as to ensure greater visibility to the organisers of individual initiatives. Information on individual events will be published on the official website www.quellocheconta.gov.it and on the social profiles @ITAedufin on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and @ComitatoEdufin on LinkedIn.
