Global Money Week 2023 starts on 20 March
“Plan your money, plant your future” is the theme of this edition of Global Money Week. Applications are open on the Edufin Committee’s website for organising events and initiatives throughout Italy. There’s time until 13 March.
Global Money Week (GMW) is the annual event promoted by the OECD with the aim of raising awareness among young people on the importance of acquiring knowledge, abilities and behaviours necessary for making conscious financial decisions.
Since its launch in 2012, the event has involved over 50 million young people in 176 Countries. The campaign is coordinated in Italy by the Committee on the Planning and Coordination of Financial Education Activities (Edufin Committee) with the organisational contribution of Bank of Italy.
“Plan your money, plant your future” is a message that highlights the strong connection between the management of one’s finances and one's future with a view to sustainable development, attentive to the environment and society.
The Edufin Committee invites associations, institutions, companies, universities and research centres, schools, foundations, public administrations and any other organisation that wants to engage in the field of financial education to participate with quality events. All initiatives that comply with the requirements set by the Guidelines available on the Committee’s official website www.quellocheconta.gov.it. will be welcomed. Participation allows one to use the official logo of GMW and and to benefit from the numerous promotion activities at national and local level, designed by the Committee aimed at giving greater visibility to the organisers of the individual initiatives.

The Committee on the Planning and Coordination of Financial Education Activities has the task of planning and promoting initiatives to raise awareness and concerning financial education to measurably improve skills in regard to savings, investments, social security, insurance.
The Committee, headed by Professor Annamaria Lusardi, is composed of: the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Education and Merit, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, Bank of Italy, Consob, Covip, IVASS, Ocf, National Council of Consumers and Users.
