Mauro Maria Marino

From Turin, President of the Supervisory Body and keeping of the single register of Financial Advisers. From 2003 to 2007, he was a member of the Technical Scientific Committee of FORMEZ - Service, assistance, studies and training centre for the modernisation of the Public Administration.
A Member of Parliament from 2004 to 2022, he held the position of Chairman of the Senate Finance and Treasury Committee from 2013 to 2018 and was, among other things, rapporteur of the Fact-finding inquiry on the Italian banking system in the perspective of European supervision and of the Fact-finding inquiry on the conditions of the Italian banking and financial system and the protection of savings, also with reference to supervision, crisis resolution and insurance for European deposits.
He has promoted, with his own bill, the reform of Financial Advising in Italy. The approval of one of his amendments, presented as rapporteur of Law no. 15/2017, introduced financial education into the Italian legal system.
From 2017 to 2018, he was then deputy vice-president of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on the banking and financial system and from 2021 to 2022, president of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on illegal gambling and the dysfunctions of public gambling.
